This past few days we have had the good fortune to enjoy a few days visiting St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. This came about when our daughter, Jenni, was assigned to do some interviews there and invited us to come along. She would be interviewing various school principals and teachers at some of the schools for the research company that she works for. Her company provided her a nice king suite at the Marriott resort on Frenchman's Reef along with a healthy per-diem, so our main expense would be our airfare. St. Thomas is beautiful and has near perfect weather year around. Daily highs in the mid 80's with overnight lows in the 70's. To say the least we had a wonderful time relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, etc.
Our room was on the 3rd floor of in one of the Vila's by the beach
Here's our beach...looking east!
Lots of nice beach chairs, umbrellas and assorted beach toys free for our use!
Lot's of great flowers thru-out the resort
On Wednesday 4 cruise ships showed up for the day. It is quite a site to see them all docked in the small harbor.
One afternoon while relaxing by one of the pools an Iguana strolled by!!
We had a wonderful time for sure. Thanks Jenni!
Loved the license plates
Now we are headed to PA to continue hiking more of the AT. When we return I will try to blog on our AT adventure. Greenstone
